Here's a template I've used for inviting people in the past. You can use
it as a base for your invites, or write your own totally disregarding
this, I don't mind. Depending on your familarity with the person you're
inviting you might want to set a more intimate tone :)

For now, the most imporant bit is to know who is going to send the
invite and how far along the invitation process has come, so
use the speaker spreadsheet to coordinate invitation work here:

Hello Catarina,

FSCONS 2017 will take place in Oslo 4. and 5. november 2017, and we
would like to invite you as a speaker at the conference.

We are interested in your work, and we believe you fit very well with
our event profile.

We would like to hear you speak about Open Building Initiative or a
topic of your choosing.

Should you choose to accept, we will cover your travel and lodging
expenses during the conference.

Please let us know as soon as possible if you are interested in speaking
at FSCONS 2017.

If you are not familiar with FSCONS, here is a summary:

Free Society Conference and Nordic Summit FSCONS exists to provide a
meeting place where subjects covering society, culture and technology
can be discussed and brought to lifee in peer discussions, without being
confined to each particular subject area. It should provide both the
physical and virtual space where people, organisations and governments,
with interest in the three subject areas can meet in a participatory and
constructive dialogue. The unique combination of topics creates a
platform where cross-pollination between the areas can occur, and where
new co-operations and thoughts can emerge which allows the participants
to find new inspiration even from areas outside of their own.

Sincerely,
---
