Hi, I agree a lot with Gregoire.
I particularly don't like the SEMA NTICS and FREE DOM splits,
miss the swirl, and also I think the colors are kind of bleak,
depressive color hues. Can we make more happy colors, and with
the swirl? I also don't recognize the painting and don't see
its connection to FSCONS.

Sorry to be negative. :-/

Here comes a suggestion draft from one of the designers. Any comments?
First, I am very happy that people are proposing stuff and grateful to
you to make it happened (having tried in the past. I appreciate it even
more :-))
This being said, I have to admit that this one doesn't speak to me very
much. This being very subjective and not very constructive, let me try
to formulate more concrete comments:
- I miss the swirl. It may not be the best logo in the world but (to me
at least) it has become a very distinctive element of FSCONS' identity.
- if it is necessary to split words, it should at least be done at
syllable boundaries (se·man·tics)
- it lacks the address of the web site
- it lacks the city name (and eventually the country depending on where
we intend to send it)
- the red bar at the top doesn't match well with the colors of the
painting
- speaking of which, I don't see the connection between the painting and
FSCONS (but I don't know much about paintings and I don't recognize this
one)

Again, most of this is highly subjective and I'd love to read what
others are thinking about it :-)
Cheers,
