Hello Thomas,

I think that we've had some collaboration in the past with Gothenburg
hackerspace on a maker oriented track (although if I remember correctly, it
didn't work out this year)

But I absolutely love the idea of having a mini makerfaire at fscons. :-)

We had some very large, unexploited spaces this year and that would be a very
good way to develop the out-of-the-lecture-room part of the conference. It
could also help make the conference more kids friendly, as Makerfaires
usually are, while potentially keeping the kids out of the lecture rooms,
which I consider a win-win situation :-)
A few robots and 3D-printers could maybe even warmth the heart of some of the
technically inclined people who have been disappointed by the broadening of
topics at fscons those last 2-3 years ;-)

I'm in :-)

Grégoire

P.S. too bad I'm not in Gbg right now I would have loved to come to the Oslo
Faire!!!!
BTW, I don't really know of any maker related event in gbg, except maybe for
the hackerspace meetings, and would be interested to learn about them :-)
