Some more maker names:
Jasmine Idun Lyman -- she was a talker at FSCONS last year, and
is also actively involved in maker events.

I'm just back from Oslo Maker Faire, and here are some more
names:

Erik Thorstensson: He lives in Göteborg, and he won the maker prize this year at Oslo Maker Faire, so he'll be going to the
San Francisco mother event later this year.

Creatables is one of his projects:

Roger Antonsen:
Prime Mover of Maker Faire Oslo, and a very good organizer.

I've already talked with him about FSCONS a few times, and
he's very excited about the news that there is going to be
a maker track at FSCONS this year. He would like to be involved
in organizing it.

I think this is a great idea. We had a maker track at a previous
conference, but a lot has happened since then. It is also something
that can help bring more of the much requested technology perspecive
back to FSCONS. I recommend getting in touch with Magnus Eriksson AKA
monki. He started a Maker organisation in Göteborg a few years back.

Hi,

I'm wondering if it could be a good idea to have a Maker track at
the next FSCONS?

I'm referring to the Maker Faire events that are spreading:

"Part science fair, part county fair, and part something entirely
new, Maker Faire is an all-ages gathering of tech enthusiasts,
crafters, educators, tinkerers, hobbyists, engineers, science
clubs, authors, artists, students, and commercial exhibitors. All
of these “makers” come to Maker Faire to show what they have made
and to share what they have learned."

(quoted from http://makerfaire.com/makerfairehistory/ )

I believe there are already Maker events in Gothenburg.

And this upcoming week end there is the Oslo Maker Faire (maybe
some of you in Gothenburg would like to take a trip to Oslo?) :

The Oslo Maker Faire festival takes place at Teknisk Museum
(11-18). Program and practical info at http://makerfaireoslo.no/ .
(I'm involved in it as I'll talk there about "Open Money and
Cryptocurrencies".)
